IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!

There is a mantra in the comic book community, professionally speaking, that if you want to work in comics, prepare to be poor[financially]. Having lived through the eighties and nineties, when multimillionaires were born slinging millions of comics per month, and while I'm not delusional in thinking that that will ever come back, the idea that one need trade fiscal freedom to follow a dream, is, well, CRAZY!

WELL THEN, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED...

Coming soon will be a series of [free]monthly essays collecting lessons from the comic book world, including various anecdotes, philosophies and general ideas towards not just making it in the business of comics, but making it BIG!

WHERE HAVE ALL THE SUPERSTARS GONE?

One of my favorite current quotes is, "Your only have one life to live, so why not be a bad-ass?"

Thought of another way, between comic books, collector variants, merchandise, conventions, video games, television, movies and beyond, the comic book world has become a multi-billion dollar business. I don't know about you, but I'm a "have your cake and eat it too" kinda guy. Lets leave a mark on the world together.

EVOLVE

Comic books have their fare share of stereo types, from those who make them to those who consume the final product. Together we'll explore what it takes to survive in a modern and fast[FAST] paced world with seemingly endless options and ever changing tastes.

In all truth, not even I am there...

...Yet.

I'm constantly asking myself "What would Batman do?"[Answer, "Have a plan. Have a plan for your plan, and a plan for your plan's plan..."] I am well within reach of an ever changing finish line. As always, what I'm doing and what I'll be talking about is what works[and doesn't] for me. Adapt what you need for your own goals, experiment, discard, find what works as you travel on your own unique path towards being, legendary!
